It’s make or break time for Cardiff City this January after
an enthusiasm draining December.
The wheels have come off big time on the pitch after a promising
start under Russell Slade, and with recent fan discontent poking its head up
again like a bad smell, he’s entering an intense month.
Slade and the club’s admin lads are making noises of a ‘busy’
January transfer window ahead (a new fax machine has been installed in preparation). and it looks as though the first arrival is near
with an unglamorous bid of 100k accepted by Millwall for left back Scott
Malone.
With this move, it looks like current left back and likable Brazilian fur-ball Fabio is either making like a banana and splitting or playing Xbox on match days till his contract
expires.
With presumably at least three or four new faces coming in then and
the same being sold via email it looks like another period of settling in on
the pitch. And given that Mats Daehli, Magnus Eikrem and Juan Cala have already
left recently, the squad is going to need more time to gel (and learn everyone's name again).
Slade has no time for flair and the random football played
under Solskjaer it seams and is looking to make City ‘workmanlike’ and ‘solid’ (or
‘BORING’ depending on which way you look at life).
Added to that, the Bluebirds brutal run of fixtures this
January could be about to make things even darker for our cold and miserable empty
stadium...
Bit rough innit?
Hopefully Russ can shape things quickly as fickle fans like my Pop are beginning to turn on him like a bunch of catty teenage girls. The only thing that will shut fans up and get them attending games again is winning.

Over to you Russell my good man.
Oh… and happy new year.
